Imagine the iconic Eames House becoming an established public building. The need for a visitors centre and appropriate entrance would cause some deliberation. This projects aim was to encourage a firm understanding of placement and an introduction in appreciating respectful architecture.
Creating a visual entrance and a place of rest which neither overtook nor strayed too far from the main houses aescetic was a priority. The need to understand the modular steel construction of the main house, the open and bohemian lifestyle the Eames wished to encourage and the warm climate of the Florida coast all led to the final execution of my first architectural proposition.
